Purple Coneflower

"Purple Coneflower"
5 X 7
Oil on Hardboard

This is my entry into this weeks Daily Paintworks Challenge.  We were to only use three specific colors and white to do the challenge.  It was very hot when I went outside to paint this.  I was glad I remembered my hat!  Next time I will also need to remember my bug spray.  These coneflowers are part of a wild flower mix that my husband has planted around our pond.  Each week during the summer there is something beautiful blooming.
