Win This KitchenAide Artisan Mixer
No, your eyes are not deceiving you, I am giving away to one lucky winner a brand new KitchenAide Artisan Red Mixer with a retail value of $449.00!!
I have found that having contests is a great way to get new people in to my sites to see my art. Plain and simple. And I have loved reading all of the comments left by guests in the previous contests. So here we go again!
The mixer is free just by doing at least the first option in the Rafflecopter entry form below. The first option is to just leave a comment telling me how many original works of art you have in your home. More chances to win can be earned by doing more options! You choose how many you want to do. Of course, the more you do -the more your chances of winning!! If you do everything on the list you will have 40 entries in the hat!! Please note: I will not share any of your information with any third parties. Period.
Please note: This contest will run until March 31st 11:59pm CST. The winner will be responsible for paying the shipping charges from El Paso, IL, USA to your location. The package will weigh approximately 22 lbs. This mixer is not a lightweight! I will only charge for the actual shipping charge with no handling fees added. This give-away is open to anyone in the USA, Canada and the UK. Please see the fine print at the bottom of the Rafflecopter "terms and conditions" for all the give-away entry details. I go over every entry so please be sure to answer all questions completely. I don't want to have to remove any entries.
Good Luck!

Sadly, we own no art work! However, I do have some of my own photography framed in our home. Some nature, Yosemite, and family.
ReplyDeleteI have none ...
ReplyDeleteI have eight pieces hanging on the walls of my office/studio and three more I need to find frames for. I buy mostly small works from eBay and DPW.
ReplyDeleteThe stairwell and upstairs hallway is the gallery for my own art and there are about a dozen pieces there.
The rest of the house has art work my sweetie buys, usually from the Goodwill store. I can't believe some of the great works she's found at the thrift stores, fully framed and ready to hang. She knows the difference between a print and an original and comes home with some great finds.
What can I say, we like to buy art.
I do not own any originals but hope to in the future.

ReplyDeleteI have one original painting by an artist who paints in the style of Georgia O'Keefe. It is about 3'x4' and I did not have it framed. The colours suit my bedroom. I see it last thing at night and first thing in the morning. I never thought I would pay that much for art (more than I could afford) but I have never regretted it. She and I lived in the same town for a while and I loved dropping by her studio to watch her work or see her offerings.
ReplyDeleteI have another artwork that is #22 out of 125; I forget the technique - some kind of acid etching, I think. I was able to meet the artist but I didn't speak his language and didn't want to wait in line to speak through a translator. Another is a painting of a house by some ancestor. I know not who as it is not signed.
I have 3 statues made with horseshoes and nails made by a friend. He offered to make me one of my choosing. I asked for a mule pulling a log. I commissioned an Indian in full head dress on a horse for my father, who was 1/4 Indian. I reclaimed it after he died. He also gave me a present of a person massaging another on a massage table, which was my profession at the time.
I also have a few Inuit carvings - some I purchased and some from my father's estate.
I have a leather "mask" my father brought back from Cuba; 2 African wooden sculptures and several pottery and ceramic pieces.
Over the years I have bought many note cards that photographers have made. They are my favourite cards to send to friends and relatives. Not sure if they would be considered originals, though.
Thank you so much for the question as I hadn't realized how much 'real' art I have! Maybe my list will help others think beyond paintings.
I also have lots of prints!! Art is everywhere in my house!
I don't own any original art, would love to start a collection though.
ReplyDeleteUm, I think we have one painting that is original? Not sure though...
ReplyDeleteI'm sad, I don't personally own any art work of my own, unless you count the drawings and paintings from my little sister when she was a toddler. LOL I would like to start painting though. I'm been meaning to start up a new hobby in that field;)
