These flowers are my favorite wild flower. They grow in the woods behind our house. Locals call them Sweet Williams although technically I think they are some kind of phlox.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Karla! I love those flowers too and never knew what they were called. They are a gorgeous purple, aren't they? I kind of like it just when the grass begins to grow and the leaves are just little fresh bursts on the trees. Kind of like a couple of weeks ago. To be honest, I much prefer winter here to summer. To hot and humid (those couple of mid-90's days we had...shudder...). Still, one can at least not be confined indoors all of the time, I suppose.

ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry! We do seem to get a lot of the extremes of the spectrum when it comes to weather here in Central IL> We could stand to have a few more of the mild spring and fall weeks but oh well, I like the variety of seasons.
