Today's Blog Find of the Week is Ann Gorbett Palette Knife Paintings.  Specifically her blog entry Mini Master's Collection.  She paints these tiny portraits based on famous artists and then sells them as Christmas ornaments.  Genius!  And here's the amazing thing;  She paints these with a palette knife!  Wow!  That is just amazing to me.  Thanks Sherry for the tip on her web site!

I'm starting a painting class in Peoria tonight.  I found Tracey Frugoli over at the Riverfront Art Fair in Peoria a few weeks ago.  She had lovely oil paintings and was handing out fliers for her painting classes.  I am looking forward to learning new things and having the opportunity to rub elbows with other painters from my neck of the woods.  I love my on-line art friends - more than you could know- but I am looking forward to developing some real life friendships as well.  I hope I can paint.  I haven't painted in almost two weeks.  I'm just not motivated right now.  Maybe this class will help.  The classes are every Monday night from November 7th thru December 12th.
