Rusty Pail and Sunflowers
Rusty Pail and Sunflowers 8 x 10 Oil on Hardboard SOLD! |
Having fun with the palette knife again. Just can't get enough of seeing that thick juicy paint. This is from a photo I took two years ago of sunflowers my husband grew. I have several more photos so don't be surprised if you see more.
I was tabbing through my "google reader" and came across an entry by Tracey Frugoli. She is the artist that I have been taking a workshop with over in Peoria.
In her blog entry she wrote about a show that is currently in Peoria at the Lakeview Museum. She shows several of the paintings by women that are in the exhibit and does an audio commentary on each one. I enjoyed viewing the paintings (photos) and hearing her talk about them. You can too. Here.
Now I know my next stop is to actually go to the museum and see these paintings in life. It is an easy drive from where I live.
Here is how this painting might look framed. |

ReplyDeleteThanks Azra! It's rather crude but for some reason I kinda like it that way.
