O.K. I will be the first to admit it.  Landscape painting intimidates me.  I don't know why but it does.  I paint just about everything else including portraits.  But, I am insecure when it comes to painting a landscape.  Go figure!

Even with the help from the excellent blog Stapleton Kearns has put together with hundreds of great posts, I'm still intimidated.

But this week I found a simple blog post that has given me some courage.  It is over at Art and Influence by Armand Cabrera.  Armand has broken down a landscape painting into a few steps mostly using pictures.  I look at that post and think "I think I can do that!".  Maybe I am just a visual learner.  I still know I have to apply all of the knowledge I have learned from Stape and so many others.

So don't be surprised if you see a landscape painting posted in the near future.  And don't be surprised if I chicken out.  Ha!
