Lilac Dreams

"Lilac Dreams"
8 X 10
Oil on Hardboard

SOLD!

I did not sleep well last night, and when a thunderstorm rolled through at 4am I decided to just get up and paint.  Hubby was kind enough to pick these lilacs for me yesterday.  They are such an assertive flower both with their beauty and their scent.  You can smell them wherever you are in the house.

Julie Ford Oliver inspired me this morning with her blog post Experimenting With Plums.  I love Julie's work and this one just blew me away!  So, since plums were the only fruit in the house with any life in them I decided to give them another go and try not to over-work them.

I sent a message to the store I am approaching about selling my art.  They have already responded.  They are currently out of town on spring break but will contact me when they get back.  My brain is going a million miles an hour planning what my presentation will be like.  So excited!

Here is how it might look framed.
