Rustic Sugar Bowl and Grapes

"Rustic Sugar Bowl and Grapes"
5 X 7
Oil on Hardboard

SOLD!

I found this rustic handmade sugar bowl at an antique mall in Indianapolis over the weekend.  I found several new still life pieces and a couple of great large frames.

I was in Indy because I went with hubby to fire fighter training.  (He went to training, I went shopping!).  Before we left, he had to return to the scene of a barn fire just 1/4 mile from where I grew up.  It was an abandoned farm so it was a "no-brainer" that it didn't start all by itself.  He had to return to the scene to check for any human remains.  A gruesome thought - especially if kids were involved.  Luckily, no evidence of victims was found.

My husband and one of my sons are fire fighters for our local volunteer crew.  Did you know that 75% of the fire fighters in the U. S. are volunteers?

I try not to worry about them while they are on a call.  It is hard sometimes.  It is also hard not to be angry when I find out the fire was set on purpose and my guys are risking their lives to save people and property.

 So far so good.

Here is how it might look framed.
