Pomme

"Pomme"
6 X 6
Oil on Panel

This is day twenty-one of Leslie Saeta's 30 paintings in 30 days challenge.  I took a break and missed a few days of posting, but hopefully I can finish the challenge.

This is my first attempt at painting a bi-colored apple.  Not too easy to do, especially wet into wet all prima.  I had to be very careful not to stain the yellow/green with the red.

Here is how today's painting might look framed.

  1. No not easy to do alla prima - but you did a great job with that transition of the yellow into the red. Thanks for coming by my blog.
    You have some lovely pieces.

  3. You did a great job on this, Karla. I especially appreciate your highlights. They look very natural, and that is so difficult. Well done!
