Heritage
"Heritage" 6 X 6 Oil on Hardboard SOLD! |
My husband and I come from a long line of German farmers, although we do not farm and only one of Dale's siblings still farms. But I do continue the country lifestyle and the heritage of preserving fruits, vegetables and meat. Canning was taught to me by my mother and mother-in-law. Now I am passing that knowledge on the the next generation.
Here is how it might look framed |
Love this Karla. Nice bright colors and great composition. Love the back story, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting, composition, colors! What a great idea to paint what we are pleased to do. Right now, I make jams and canned peaches, I'll think about it ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great skill to have and even better to be able to pass it on.Lovely brushwork and colours, especially the tomato,it looks so juicy.
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Karla.
ReplyDeleteI've never canned though I did once make jelly from a crabapple tree we had in our yard. I was pleased as punch when all my jars sealed! LOL I too love the country lifestyle. This piece is just plain homey and wonderful, Karla!
